11th & 12th July 2026 (Saturday and Sunday)
Letter from the secretariat
Dear Delegates,
It is an honour to welcome you to APLMUN 2026, the 11th edition of this conference. We take immense pride and gratitude knowing that we will have the opportunity to lead the organisation of an event that will educate and entertain delegates across Tamil Nadu.
Across these 10 years, the APL MUN society has managed to build an esteemed conference that has played part in the success of many delegates and many more to come. We plan on upholding these principles for the 11th edition this year as well.
Considering the unprecedented events across the globe, Model United Nations becomes an even more important platform to stimulate diplomacy, spur debate, and inspire discussion. With this, we bring you our 7 committees for APLMUN ’26:
- North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO)
- Lok Sabha
- United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
- United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
- United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
- United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
- International Press Journalism (IPJ)
Participating in this MUN will help you develop knowledge pertinent to global politics, confident public speaking skills, and split-second decision-making abilities. If this is your first MUN, you will likely be overwhelmed. However, don’t lose heart – your executive board will be readily reachable at all times, and the OC will be glad to assist you throughout the process.
Finally, outside of committee sessions, we hope you will get a chance to expand your social network and enjoy the MUN process as a whole. People who can bring order out of chaos and speak up for the right causes are essential in today’s and tomorrow’s world. The world of now and the future demands effective leadership. We anticipate that your participation will foster the leader in you. We can assure you of a fruitful experience that will leave you a better delegate and person.
Yours sincerely,
Secretary General: Haasini Padmanaban
Deputy Secretary General: Alveena Arif
