Description
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, tasked with maintaining international peace and security. It is responsible for addressing threats to global stability, including conflicts, acts of aggression, and other disturbances that jeopardise peace. The UNSC has the authority to make binding decisions on member states, such as imposing sanctions, authorizing military action, or deploying peacekeeping forces.

Pranav Ajith Kumar
Pranav Ajith Kumar, a 11th grader with aspirations in politics, has a keen interest in international affairs associated with the present and past, great power politics, and meta narratives about societal structures and domestic politics. Alongside his knack for economics he also likes to play HOI4 in his free time. Pranav has attended 20+ MUN conferences and has won multiple awards. He is confident that delegates will arrive with the utmost preparation and are decisive in their dealings.
Pranav Preetham
Pranav Preetham is an extremely energetic individual who gains his liveliness from his love of football and indie games, bearing a soft spot for his favourite childhood films. He carries a love for MUN’s that has remained for the last 3 years, and is one of the unfortunate souls that was questionably drawn to an unconventional aspect of MUN’s – becoming a crisis delegate of all things. He hopes to use his experience to contribute as part of the Executive Board of his own crisis committee and guarantees his best foot forward to provide an exceptional experience for his delegates just as he would expect as a delegate himself.
Abigail Albert
Meet Abigail Albert, a military delegate through and through. Mostly nonverbal outside committee, but known for her presence in debate. In her free time, she enjoys debate, literary fiction, and discovering new film scores (Zimmer is a classic).
Dhiya Viswanathan
Meet Dhiya, Chairperson of UNODC. She brings a balanced, engaging approach—focused on meaningful debate in a dynamic, welcoming space. Beyond MUN, she’s a dancer, singer, artist, and small business owner. When she’s not working, she’s likely to be watching dramas or following Formula 1. She aims to create a well-researched, collaborative committee that’s both impactful and enjoyable.
