Haasini Padmanaban
Haasini Padmanaban, the Secretary General for APLMUN’26, is a regular debater and writer, and if you vaguely know her, you’ll probably recognise her by her hair. With a special interest in global history, economics, and Tragic Poetry, Haasini has published her own research articles and poetry on The New York Times competitions, school journals and is working to publish more.
An aspiring law student, you’ll often find Haasini at book drives, MUNs, and charity sales — or, more likely, in the school library where she practically lives. She looks forward to leading this MUN into being an unforgettable, thought-provoking, and truly enjoyable experience for first-timers and seasoned MUNers alike.
Alveena Arif
With nothing much to do at home, 12-year-old Alveena Arif did her first MUN at APLMUN23. Fast forwarding to today, she has been to over 30 MUNs, with an almost perfect winning streak, 4 best delegates, an Outstanding Delegate at Harvard Model United Nations, membership in the executive board 8 times and 6 high commendations from various prestigious institutions. Spurred by the passion for international policy, she also runs a blog on Indian and Middle Eastern relations, known as the Indo-Arabian Entrepôt. Additionally, she has won various awards in Writing and Public Speaking, both in India and internationally. Personally, she is an avid geoeconomics enthusiast, believing it to be the life-blood of global world order. It is a great honour for her to serve as your Deputy Secretary General of the 11th edition of APLMUN, coincidently in 11th grade!

Amudha Lakshmanan
Meet Amudha Lakshmanan, a grade 12 student who believes the best things in life are choreographed — whether that’s a Bharatanatyam performance or a perfectly run MUN conference. A classical dancer and NBA enthusiast, Amudha is the founder of EMA (Event Management Agency) and co-founder of PerfektPapers (autocorrection website). As Head of the Organizing Committee, she has built this event from the ground up and hopes this conference is as seamless as it is meaningful.

Aarav Karthikeyan
Meet Aarav Karthikeyan, the deputy head of the organising committee for APLMUN’26. As an avid scientist and pianist, as well as a basketball player, he knows how important perfection is in any scenario, and guarantees that this year will be exactly that. He brings unlimited warmth and kindness to everyone and will ensure that all the delegates feel calm and welcome, as well as give the delegates the knowledge that the conference is in safe hands. With previous experience on the OC of APLMUN, Aarav believes that this year will be our best MUN yet.

Shakthi S
I’m Shakthi, the Head of Finance at APL MUN this year. This is my first time working as part of the MUN organising committee, and I’m really looking forward to contributing while learning from the experience. I am inclined towards the creative fields, especially photography, design, event management, and dance. In the future, I hope to pursue cinematography while also studying design
Smriti Anand
Smriti handles Delegate Affairs for this year’s conference, bringing endless energy and making sure every delegate feels welcomed, supported, and heard throughout their MUN journey. Outside of MUN, she is a singer-songwriter and photographer—usually either writing lyrics she’ll pretend came to her “randomly” at 2 a.m. or working on photography projects insisting it’s all about the lighting. She’s excited to help create a smooth, fun, and memorable conference for everyone.
Prathana Vijay
Meet Prarthana Vijay, the head of logistics for APL MUN 2026. When she isn’t helping her team, she spends her time listening to music, working towards a career in finance, and playing sports, especially with her basketball team. She has a strong passion for teamwork and organization, and she hopes to make this conference an enlightening and enthusiastic experience for all delegates
