Description
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is a key UN agency dedicated to combating global threats posed by drugs, organised crime, terrorism, and corruption. It works with member states to promote justice and strengthen the rule of law by providing technical assistance, supporting international cooperation, and conducting research on crime and drug-related issues. UNODC also assists countries in implementing treaties and developing effective legal frameworks to address these challenges. Through its initiatives, the agency plays a vital role in promoting security, human rights, and sustainable development worldwide.

Meet Dhiya, Chairperson of UNODC. She brings a balanced, engaging approach—focused on meaningful debate in a dynamic, welcoming space. Beyond MUN, she’s a dancer, singer, artist, and small business owner. When she’s not working, she’s likely to be watching dramas or following Formula 1. She aims to create a well-researched, collaborative committee that’s both impactful and enjoyable.
Adity Agrawal
With awards across multiple conferences, Adity is thrilled to step into her role as vice chair. Apart from MUN, she spends her time on Formula 1 and new music. She looks forward to an exciting committee and promises delegates a rewarding experience.
Bavinika Sivakumar
Alumni member Bavinika Siva returns as Head Chair of UNODC at APL MUN 2026 with the same fierce determination, confidence and commanding presence that once defined her as Secretary General of APLMUN’25. Her keen diplomacy, firm leadership and spirited nature continue to bring both discipline and energy to every committee she chairs. Bavinika, who will soon begin law school, hopes to channel her passion for advocacy and international affairs into the legal field. Outside of being a seasoned MUNer, her interests are evident in her love for Bharatanatyam, ceramics, debate, politics and Formula 1. Doesn’t matter if she is dissecting and debating global issues, or spending hours at the gymnasium – most often on the beam – she carries herself with resilience and unmistakable intensity.
