JCC
Description
In 1956, Egypt’s nationalization of the Suez Canal sparked a geopolitical crisis. The Allied Cabinet—made up of the UK, France, and Israel—strives to regain control and protect important trade routes. Standing in their way, the Arab Cabinet, with Egypt at its helm, seeks to exercise sovereignty and thwart foreign interference. Delegates will have to navigate Cold War tensions, colonial histories, and regional alliances in this high-stakes simulation. Strategic diplomacy and quick decision-making will decide the fate of this turning point in history.
Agenda
Day 1: 29th October 1956, Suez Crisis
Day 2: 4th June 1967
Executive Board

Vihaan
With an impressive record of participating in over 35 Model United Nations conferences and serving as a chairperson in over 15 of them, Vihaan Reddy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the committee. He strongly emphasizes preparation and expects delegates to demonstrate sharp logical reasoning and deep analysis during debates. Vihaan is a fan of witty humor and smart storytelling. He loves sitcoms like Brooklyn 99 and similar genres—though he prefers to steer clear of Friends. He hopes to witness an engaging committee and fierce debate.
Sarang
Sarang is a crisis addict studying in the 11th grade at Manthan Vidyashram. His first MUN was APLMUN’23 and since then he has gone on to participate in over 20 MUNs winning awards in all of them, including 7 Best Delegate awards and 4 high commendations. Outside of MUNs he is an amateur weightlifter, stock trader, quizzer and guitar player. He hopes that delegates will prepare well and remember that its not about making the right choices, its about turning the choices you make into the right ones.

Shivang
Aside from munning, Shivang is a part-time school student slowly trying to escape, while trying hard to master Marvel Rivals and Call of War and spending time watching pandas and eating brownies, Shivang looks forward to being the co-chairperson of JCC for APLMUN. He hopes to bring a sense of familiarity and comfort to delegates.
Niranjan
Niranjan is a law-aspirant and crisis committee regular, with a year of circuit experience and multiple awards including Best Delegates across major conferences. Known for his sharp debate instincts and quick crisis thinking, he’s as comfortable writing directives as he is chairing fiery blocs. Off-committee, he’s a state-level boxer and part-time legal nerd with a thing for fast-paced arguments and clean punches—both in and out of committee.

Alveena
Meet Alveena, a 10th grader, an avid reader and a writer. She enjoys debate, studying international law and managing her literary magazine, when not slaving away for her boards. With over 15+ MUN experience with an almost perfect award streak, she wishes the delegates all the best for a chance to shine as diplomats and live up to their countries, and delegate by the Latin maxim of dum spiro, spero.

Haasini
This is Haasini, kicking off her 11th grade by participating in every debate and writing event on her Instagram page. A European history buff, Haasini enjoys writing polarising research papers and has in the past year found allure in debate. She hopes to learn a lot from her first time on the MUN EB

Pranav
Pranav Ajit Kumar, considered an easy-going person, is planning to get into politics and has a knack for religion, philosophy, history, and law. A very opinionated guy indeed, whose very first MUN was right here at APL—so you can imagine how honored he feels to now be part of the EB! Oh, and just in case it ever comes up, Pranav stands tall at a solid 6’2 ft.
